Video Editor, Marketing
Apr 2011 - Jul 2012

I joined the Office of the Dean of Students as a video editor where I created award-winning video marketing content for multiple departments across campus. I mostly produced videos designed to inform and educate incoming freshman students. As a lean department, my team and I handled writing, filming, lighting, audio, and ultimately editing all video projects. These often involved conducting interviews with university faculty or other students. I also managed the department's YouTube channel and mentored video interns.

The Pitt Vlog

The biggest project I worked on was The Pitt Vlog, a biweekly web series that I conceptualized and hosted, designed to teach incoming freshmen what life on campus is like. The series covered various topics important to new students, including how to do laundry in the dorms, how to get involved in recreational sports, and the best places to eat on campus. The Pitt Vlog was highly successful and was eventually syndicated across campus televisions. In 2012, The Pitt Vlog received the CUPPIES Award in Electronic Media/Social Media from CUPRAP.
