SetReel / The Casting Pitt
Originally The Casting Pitt, I launched SetReel as a free casting network for the Pittsburgh, PA area in Fall of 2013. It served thousands of actors and filmmakers and was utilized by local organizations like American Eagle and the University of Pittsburgh. In 2014, I partnered with Pittsburgh Filmmakers / Pittsburgh Center for the Arts as an official sponsor of the site. At its peak popularity, SetReel had upwards of 5,000 daily active users and 100,000 page views per month. Because of my success with SetReel, I was invited to be a guest speaker at Pittsburgh Filmmakers' Library Conversation Series where I shared insights on auditioning actors. SetReel eventually expanded to the rest of the United States and later the world, but returned to its Pittsburgh roots due to a lack in resources required to maintain such ambitious growth. On May 9th, 2018, after almost 5 years of service and thousands of roles cast, I shut down SetReel.

Infinite Indie & Scorecery
Infinite Indie was a platform for independent video game journalists that focused on the indie games market. I created the website in January of 2015 and acted as an editor to more than 15 independent authors and over 110 articles. Infinite Indie saw relative success and had established relationships with a sizable number of developers and PR reps. It can still be viewed via the Wayback Machine on Archive.org, though some content may be missing and some design elements may be broken.

Scorecery was a platform for independent game journalists and a spiritual successor to Infinite Indie. Scorecery's design was a massive improvement over Infinite Indie's, including a more streamlined back end for writers. It was also a departure from only reviewing indie titles.

Zerotres.mx (unfinished)
I was commissioned to create Zerotres.mx for an architect in Merida, Mexico. The obvious challenge here was designing a website in another language. Unfortunately, the site was left unfinished due to the client changing career directions mid-project.

FrugalFlix (concept)
FrugalFlix is a concept for a free streaming service where users can easily find and watch free movies and shows from around the internet. The website does not rehost any content, but simply embeds existing content as individual nodes to create a lightweight platform that provides convenient searching and filtering features.

Featured Work 05
EditBetter was a crowdsourced collection of video editing tools, plugins, apps, and more.

Featured Work 06
Sometimes I like using plot generators to help inspire ideas whenever I'm working on a new script, so I thought it'd be fun to try making my own. FilmPlot.io is a simple, one-page film plot generator that lets users generate both simple and advanced plot synopses. Users can also lock each plot element individually to prevent them from being changed on the next generation.
